As summer ends and a new school year commences, Project Art launches another year of bringing arts education to public school children in New York City. The organization, founded in 2011 partners with public libraries in neighborhoods that have the least access to arts education. Staffed by teaching artists, Project Art offers instruction to small groups of children during out of school time.
With the aid of private donors and businesses like the Garis Hahn art gallery; Project Art is able to exhibit the children’s artwork, host fundraising events and engage its supporters. The above images are from a summer event sharing their most recent annual report. Founder, Adarsh Alphons and staffers were all present at the event.
