This weekend the New York Metro area was hit with quite the winter storm. The city was blanketed under nearly two feet of snow. By Sunday, the snowfall had ended and the sun was out. Cabin fever prompted my family to venture over to our neighborhood park to find the perfect location for sledding.
This weekend was spent bundled up and cozy inside. I was under the weather and time at home gave me an opportunity to research and plan upcoming travel. I’m looking forward to warmer climate and visiting old favorites in the coming weeks!
Friday was the trade day and conference at Javits Center, there I gained insight on travel media and learned the top destinations for 2016. When sessions ended, the expo was opened to preview.
Saturday and Sunday were consumer days, so the atmosphere was quite lively with seminars, performances, cooking demos and contests. There was even a silent auction for Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Fund.
The weekend was so informative and exciting. I look forward to the articles and posts that develop because of it. I hope you come on this journey with me.
