Workshops for Parents

Parents often struggle with how to support their children’s learning at home.  Shnieka provides parents with the skills to “edutain” (educate and entertain) their kids at home and on the road.  She offers workshops and individualized consulting that provides child-centered, engaging and meaningful activities for parents to use on a regular basis.

Workshops for Teachers

Teachers have many responsibilities throughout the school year, from unit planning and grading to parent-teacher conferences.  This leaves little time for planning field trips and learning in non-traditional settings.  Shnieka will make trip planning easier, from logistics to curricular connections.  She offers workshops and individualized consulting that promotes experiential learning and art appreciation in the classroom.

Workshops for Nonprofits

Nonprofit organizations have done an amazing job providing quality after-school programming for community youth.  However, with the introduction of the Common Core State Standards and an emphasis on Extended Learning Time, guidance regarding these new initiatives is likely needed.  Shnieka offers workshops and individualized consulting that promotes hands on learning and engaging activities that can easily be incorporated into after-school programming.
