April Recap

This month was quite busy, but fun. Spring gala season is in full swing and this year my husband and I co-chaired the New York fundraiser for Help Us Adopt. Funds raised that night will help make adoption more accessible for dozens of families. The organization celebrated 10 years of building families this year and we were honored to be a part of this milestone.

Faces of Adoption

Over the past few months, I have had the honor of serving on the planning committee for the Help Us Adopt Annual “Faces of Adoption” Benefit and Auction. The organization gives grants to individuals and couples in the adoption process. (My husband recently joined their board!) The event, which takes place at ESPACE is the biggest fundraiser for the organization. I’m so proud of the organization and its work.

I recently attended the Summer Soiree for nonprofit organization Help Us Adopt. Their mission as an organization is to offer financial assistance to couples and individuals interested in adoption. The organization aids a diverse pool of recipients regardless of race, ethnicity, marital status, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or disability. Those that qualify are granted up to $15,000 towards their domestic, international, foster, or special needs adoption expenses.

Considering the importance of their work, this was a must attend event.  Generously hosted by Ports1961, their Chelsea showroom with terrace was the chic backdrop for the cocktail party. The room was filled with positive energy as many supporters of the organization were in attendance.  Help us Adopt may be a small organization, but their impact is huge.  I’m looking forward to other opportunities to support this organization.
