My family loves to visit Disney World. We find the “off peak” season the perfect time to go. This means cooler temperatures, short lines and no need for reservations.
We arrived on a gloomy Thursday and visited Epcot in the afternoon. The schedule gave just enough time for a drink in “France”, three Fast Pass rides and an early dinner in “Japan” (my husband’s favorite).
The next day, my husband attended meetings and I took our son to Hollywood Studios. There we explored the various sets, played on the “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” playground and had a home style lunch at “Prime Time Cafe”. It was a great way to spend our only sunny day of the weekend.
The remainder of the weekend we took advantage of the offerings at our amazing resort. Can’t wait to visit Disney World again! Maybe next time the sun will cooperate.
Over the weekend, I escaped the cold city to go to Orlando, Florida. We stayed at an amazing resort that was easily accessible to area attractions.
The Grande Lakes Orlando offered amenities that were appealing to both adults and kids staying at the two properties (the Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott).
The properties offered a pool and lazy river, tennis courts and a golf course. The lake served as home for many local wildlife and children were welcomed to learn more at the resorts’ kids clubs. Unfortunately, we did not experience the luxury spa. (We were too busy at Disney.) But the childcare offerings and multiple restaurants on property were a plus! This is one of my family’s favorite places to visit.
A few weeks ago, my family went to Orlando, Florida. It was a working trip for my husband, but my son and I tagged along to take advantage of the sunshine and attractions that the city is known for. The break from winter weather was much needed. Thanks to travel tips from Eileen Oglintz, the beauty and high level service of the Ritz Carlton and fun atmosphere of Disney — we had a wonderful time!
