Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of joining the MOMS for an event in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Ford Warriors in Pink. The lunch held at the Carlyle Hotel featured Kristin Chenoweth who performed for the small crowd. Such a beautiful and quaint event to spread awareness about the disease.
Over the weekend, I served as co-chair for a fundraiser that took place in Lower Manhattan at Cipriani Wall Street.
It took months to plan with tastings and meetings about floral design, stage design, etc.
By the end of the night all I wanted was a pair of flat shoes and a slice of white pizza from Joe’s. (Luckily, I got both.)
I thought the remainder of the weekend would be low key, but a friend called with an extra show ticket that I couldn’t pass on. We saw Lupita Nyongo star in the new Broadway show Eclipsed.
By Sunday, I wanted family time outside of the norm and had received an email about a free concert at Town Hall by “The Orchestra Now “. So, we went!
This was a busy, culture filled weekend. I appreciate my city and all it has to offer. Every now and then I have to take advantage.
